Getting Started with eTrucky
Everything you need to know to get up and running on the eTrucky platform.
What is eTrucky?
eTrucky is a Transportation Management System (TMS) that connects the four parties involved in US freight brokerage: Admins, Dispatchers, Carriers, and Drivers. It digitises the full freight lifecycle — from booking a load to confirming payment — replacing phone calls, spreadsheets, and manual tracking with a single coordinated platform.
eTrucky is not a load board (loads come from external brokers), not a GPS tracking system (status is manually advanced by role), and not a payroll system (payment reports are informational; actual payment happens outside the platform).
The Four Roles
Every user in eTrucky has one of four roles, each with distinct permissions and responsibilities:
The Order Lifecycle
Every freight load in eTrucky is an Order. Orders move through a defined status sequence:
- Scheduled — Order created and assigned. All parties ready.
- PickingUp — Driver is en route to the pickup location.
- Transit — Freight has been picked up and is in transit.
- Delivered — Driver marked delivery complete.
- WaitingRC — Admin confirmed delivery; waiting for carrier rate confirmation.
- ReadyToPay — Carrier confirmed. Payment reports can be generated.
- Paid — Admin confirmed payment issued. Final state.
One-step corrections backward are allowed (e.g., Transit → PickingUp). Dispatchers can cancel orders only while in Scheduled status.
Your Network
Dispatchers work with Carriers and Admins through subscriptions. A Dispatcher requests a connection from the My Network page by entering the Carrier's or Admin's email. The other party approves, rejects, or disables the connection.
Once a subscription is active, the Dispatcher can assign that Carrier's trucks and drivers to orders. This bilateral model ensures all parties consent to working together.
