Overview

Order status tells everyone on the load where things stand. When you advance the status, all parties — from the driver to the team that assigned the load — see the update instantly. Getting status right keeps operations smooth and ensures your completed work is recognized at the right time.

The delivery status stages

Every order starts at Scheduled. When the driver heads to the pickup location, the status moves to PickingUp. Once the freight is loaded and the truck is rolling, it advances to Transit. When the delivery is complete, the driver marks it Delivered. Only the driver can advance from Transit to Delivered — this ensures accuracy.

Who can advance each status

Scheduled → PickingUp: Dispatcher, Carrier, or Driver. PickingUp → Transit: Dispatcher, Carrier, or Driver. Transit → Delivered: Driver only — this is the only transition restricted to Drivers, ensuring the person who completed the delivery confirms it. Delivered → WaitingRC: Admin only — Admin must confirm delivery before billing begins. WaitingRC → ReadyToPay: Carrier only — Carrier confirms the rate. ReadyToPay → Paid: Admin only — Admin finalizes payment. Scheduled → Canceled: Dispatcher only — cancellation is only allowed before any pickup activity. Dispatchers and Carriers can advance to PickingUp or Transit when the driver does not have app access.

Correcting a status mistake

One-step backward corrections are allowed for the delivery portion of the workflow: PickingUp → Scheduled (Driver, Dispatcher, or Carrier), Transit → PickingUp (Driver, Dispatcher, or Carrier), Delivered → Transit (Driver, Dispatcher, or Carrier). You cannot skip steps backward — only one step at a time. Corrections are not available after the Admin confirms delivery (WaitingRC and beyond); contact your Admin if a billing-stage correction is needed.
